This is a variation of the knit Do-Rag shown at www.thinkingknitter.com/DoRagPattern.pdf.

Directions:

To make this version, follow the directions for the Do-Rag (shown at www.thinkingknitter.com/DoRagPattern.pdf... When the scarf measures 13.5" from the starting point...

Row 1: Knit 10 sts; add eyelash yarn to your knitting and knit to within ten sts of the end of the row.
Knit the remaining 10 sts with just the main thread (not the eyelash yarn). Cast on 15 sts at the end of the row.

Row 2: Knit 25 sts; add eyelash yarn to your knitting and knit to within ten sts of the end of the row. Knit the remaining 10 sts with just the main thread (not the eyelash yarn). Cast on 15 sts at the end of the row.

Rows 3-8: Continue knitting across the scarf adding the eyelash yarn to the middle sts, leaving the side 25 sts on both ends free of the eyelash yarn.

Row 9: Cast off, using only the main yarn for this row.

Note: This version is especially nice for chemotherapy patients as the eyelash yarn gives the appearance of "hair".
